Abstract:
In this excellent article, writer Pako Aristi regrets the cultural and linguistic colonisation of the Basque Country. It is common to hear Spanish music instead of Basque music in bars and pubs throughout our country, even in the most Basque-speaking areas. A Spanish person visiting our country, unlike in the past, will feel at home, as our cultural references are increasingly Spanish.
