Abstract:
Calling the current football world cup to mind, Martxel Toledo points out at the broad media coverage and the bizarre evolution that competition has been having lately in our country: both the Spanish and French national soccer teams used to have but a few followers in the past amongst us, but that trend is changing. According to the author, this is happening amongst Basque citizens because the collective conscience in favor of the Basque national team is being progressively lost. The author proposes a deep reflexion in order to turn this situation around.”
