Abstract:
In this interesting article, philosopher Unai Apaolaza reflects on the current state of the Basque independence and nationalist movement. In his opinion, the Basque national liberation movement does not follow a unilateral political strategy, but rather one that seeks agreement with Spain in order to achieve a satisfactory political status.
Mr. Apaolaza claims that this strategy is the same one followed by the Basque Carlist movement in the 19th century, which led us to failure. The Basque liberation movement should abandon the neo-Carlist strategy and seek political confrontation with Spain.
