Abstract:
In this interesting article, Professor Karmelo Landa describes very well the ideological crisis of institutional Basque nationalism and the drift towards collaborationist positions (with the Spanish or French political systems) of its two main political parties: PNV-EAJ (Basque Nationalist Party) and EH BILDU.
The dimension of this national crisis is not limited to the political-institutional field, says Mr. Landa. It also extends to different areas of civil society. A new strategy is needed to strengthen Basque nation-building, taking advantage of the great human capital and many years of experience that our nation has in this field. And this Basque nation-building movement must be given a political-institutional dimension to make it effective.
